Situation: Offshoot Rentals is a Melbourne camera rental house formed in 2010. They have gear available for rent for a wide range of still and motion photography projects. Having expanded their business to Preston into an existing but blank canvas building, the customer’s have undergone a full renovation across the factory floor and introduced complete heating and cooling throughout the building.

Brief: Is to supply and install full heating and cooling mechanical services to the offices, sales floor, and bathroom.

Uniqueness: Customers have undergone a full renovation, building interior walls to create private, open top rooms including a kitchen, technician’s office, reception front and large storage spaces. Therefore, the indoor unit needed to be suspended from the purlin to ensure a balance of air throughout the large opening space.

Solution: The supply and installation of two three phase Daikin 25kw Premium Inverter ducted systems (FDYQ250LCV1/RZYQ10TY1) to the large opening space. In addition one single phase Daikin 10kw Premium Inverter ducted system (FDYQ100LBV1) for the offices and bathroom. All outdoor units where then installed at the rear of factory in the north west corner.

Time & Team: August 2019, a team of 4 were involved.

Outcome: Deadlines and budgets were met, fully compliant installation, zero safety issues and satisfied customers with a heating and cooling solution that complimented their newly renovated relocation.
