Does your air conditioner have superpowers?

Why an Energy Efficient Air Conditioner is Worth Investing in:

Well for a start, technological advances in the efficiency space don’t just help you save energy and money. They also have a huge impact on the air you and your family are breathing and how comfortable your home is.

Let’s take a look at a few of the features that we think are most exciting, and how they can make a difference to your life.

The Latest in Energy-Smart Intelligence

Smartphone Control (Available in Daikin Zena, US7, and Cora models)

How does it work? A smartphone interface connects to Daikin’s Mobile Controller app, allowing units to be operated remotely via Wi-Fi or the internet.
Why is it energy efficient? It means you can ensure your home is the perfect temperature by the time you arrive home. Or turn it off if you’ve forgotten to do so on the way out.

Coanda and Vertical Airflow (Available in Daikin Zena, US7, and Cora models)

How does it work? By streaming air upwards along the ceiling for rapid cooling or steaming airflow down the wall during heating operation. These features provide longer throws to more effectively distribute and circulate air.
Why is it energy efficient? Basically, the more effective the air distribution, the quicker the room achieves the desired temperature. Therefore, the more economical it will be. This feature will save you money in bills, and use less power.

R32 Refrigerant (Available in Daikin Zena, US7, and Cora models)

How does it work? R32 is a next generation refrigerant that carries heat more effectively. It’s also a single component, making it easier to recycle.
Why is it energy efficient? With an ozone depletion potential of 0 and 66% lower ‘Global Warming Potential Factor’ than R410A. It has a much lower impact on the environment.

Grid Eye Sensor (Available in Daikin Zena)

How does it work? Once the floor surface temperature of your home is detected, the unit automatically selects the appropriate airflow direction during heating.
Why is it energy efficient? By ensuring an even room temperature, it more effectively heats the space, using as little power as possible.

2-Area Intelligent Eye (Available in Daikin Zena and US7 models)

How does it work? By using an infra-red sensor to detect when a room is vacant or occupied. It the responds by adjusting the temperature up or down by 2 degrees. It also changes the air direction as you move about.
Why is it energy efficient? Using an energy efficient mode and optimising air flow to where people are spending time. It allows units to operate as economically as possible.
