David's Hotpot image collection Rapid ColdSituation: David’s Hotpot, Existing high-rise tower, Victoria One, in Melbourne CBD. 246m high, 76 levels, 644 residential apartments (8th largest building in Melbourne at the time of planning). Restaurant to be located on Level 1, which is mainly dedicated to the restaurant, plus some general facility management areas. 

Brief: To supply and install full mechanical specifications, including air conditioning and ventilation.

Uniqueness: Originally with 7-8m high ceilings, a mezzanine level was created to provide an additional dining space.
Large concrete building support column and large ornate lighting features were needed to be worked around.
City parking and working in shifts to deal with access issues.

Solution: Installed four (4) Daikin water-cooled VRV systems and 32 head units, as per mechanical engineer’s design.
Ventilation supplied for fresh air into dining and kitchen areas and exhaust out from bathrooms and kitchen.

Time & Team: April 2019 – December 2019, a team of 8 were involved.

Outcome: Deadlines and budgets met, fully compliant installation, zero safety issues and satisfied customers.
